Vincent Leslie Carpenter III

Vincent Leslie Carpenter III of St. James, Mo. passed away Thursday September 10, 2015 at the University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Vincent Carpenter III was born on December 22, 1962 in Orlando, Florida to his parents, Major USAF Retired Vincent Leslie Carpenter II and Sally McCue Carpenter.

Vincent Carpenter III was a Computer Programmer.

Vincent Carpenter III is survived by his present wife of the home: Gina Carpenter of St. James, Mo.; parents: Major USAF (Retired) Vincent Leslie Carpenter, Jr. and Sally McCue Carpenter of St. James, Mo.; His first wife of over 25 years was the former Barbara Brown Carpenter of Lee's Summit and together they shared three wonderful sons: Vincent L. Carpenter IV and wife Caroline of Bedminster, New Jersey; Jason Carpenter and wife Stephanie who presented him with his first Grandchild: Gwendolyn Marie of Lee's Summit, Mo.; and Jacob Carpenter and wife Alexis of Lee's Summit, Mo.; three brothers: D. Eric Carpenter and wife Patti of Indianapolis, Indiana and their daughter: Callie; Michael Carpenter and wife Elizabeth of Olathe, Kansas and their children: Matthew, Jason, Jovanna  and Stephen; and  M. Colin Carpenter and wife Davanh of Bellevue, Washington; and their daughter: Kaitlyn; one sister: Valerie Gleason and husband Alfred of San Antonio, Texas and their sons: Aaron and Ian; along with Stepsons: Rogan Walker and wife Elizabeth of Mt. View, Mo.;Ryan Walker and wife Brittany of St. Louis, Mo.; stepdaughters: Robin Walker of Lebanon, Mo.; and Raven Walker of Farmington, Mo.; grandchildren:  Serenity Wilson, Bentlee Walker, Mars Walker and Logan Walker.

Vince Carpenter III is preceded in death by grandson: Grayson Walker.

Vince Carpenter III will lie in state from 6-8 pm Thursday September 17, 2015 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday September 18, 2015 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Gene Branson Officiating.  Special guest speaker will be Brigadier General Sam (Bo) Mahaney who was a close friend of Vince's and the Carpenter family. Pallbearers will be Vincent L. Carpenter, Jason Carpenter, Jacob Carpenter, Eric Carpenter, Mike Carpenter and Brigadier General Sam (Bo) Mahaney. Burial with full military honors will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Waynesville, Mo. Memorials may be given to the First Methodist Church in St. James.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
