- About Us
Richard and Staff,
I can't tell you thank you enough for the compassionate, kind, professional and friendly service you provided for our family. You showed up and treated everyone in our family so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. You didn't rush us and truly slowed down and just helped walk us through each step of the way to make a service honoring my Dad. You were so considerate of our feelings and emotions at a very hard journey in our lives.

Richard ... I can't tell you how pleased I am with your professional service and the service of those at Broadway Baptist Church. Planning, caring, guidance, phone calls and texts were all done with sensitivity and care. I left knowing my mother Shirley would have approved and would have been grateful. From my heart, I thank you. Rich Gould, January 8, 2023
Jones funeral home was amazing from start to finish with the services of my dad. They were compassionate and caring and made us feel so loved during a very difficult time. Services and service was to notch. They go above and beyond to comfort grieving families with a high level of dignity.
Our family is so very grateful to Richard and his staff for the compassion and professionalism they gave to us at the death our loved one, Jane Sbabo. You truly do honor with respect and sincerity. Many, many thanks to the Jones Funeral Home family.
I am very thankful that in the time of our father's passing we had Richard Jones (and staff) to turn to. All the arrangements were handled professionally and personally and exactly as our father had arranged. We were more than pleased with the facilities, the staff, and the services. We recommend Jones Funeral Home to your family.
Words cannot express the wonderful job Jones Funeral home did. My step father looked amazing. The whole process went so smoothly. Staff was very kind and helpful. We were able to put my stepfather to rest with military honors and an old car possession. It was so comforting to know he had the best by the best. Thank you Richard and staff.
We hadn’t realized the stress involved in so many things to “handle” over the loss of a loved one, Dick’s beloved sister Joan Smith Ott! Jones Funeral staff offered so many services to assist our family—for which we are very grateful, and their kindness, courtesy, caring, their professional and organizational skills, did much to carefully guide and carry us through this process, for which we are forever thankful.
Dear Richard, Family, Staff, and Associates with Jones Funeral Home, St. James MO. Thank you for the respect, sensitivity, tenderness, care, and love each of you provided to my precious, fragile wife of 62 years, Sherry C. Hashagen our family lost. Richard, you personally know of her long ordeal over the past four and one-half year struggles to recover from the unknown malady that finally ended when Christ took her tiny hand and she entered heaven, Your tender, comforting support for me personally and for our family truly helped us, especially me, to get thru our tragic loss. May our Savior, Jesus Christ, Bless and sustain you so you can continue serving HIS children as they pass from this world into eternity. In memory of my new personal Angel - My Tinkerbell.2 Richard. W. Hashagen, MS.ED.C., and Family
I can't thank you enough for all you did and the help you provided during my mom's funeral. My constant questions and problems didn't phase you a bit and you were compassionate, helpful, and thorough during the whole process. Thank you again.
Richard and his family has known our family for over 40 years, and the way that he went above and beyond for dads service is beyond words for us, He went over everything and suggested a few things my family would of missed. "Honoring and Respect with Sincerity" maybe just words, but it is something that Richard stands by. Thank you Richard and Deanna.
Dear Richard & Staff,
Thank you for taking care of every detail, and making this process easier for us. The service was very meaningful, and the video was a wonderful tribute to my mom. Thank you again for helping us navigate through this time. We all appreciate you and your service.
The majority of John's family is not from St. James, so it was extremely nice of Richard to open up on a Friday night in order for us to finalize the details while we were all in town together. Honestly, the last people you want to do business with is a funeral home because it means someone has passed away. That being said, Richard made our experience an easier one and let us mourn the loss of our father, husband, uncle, brother, and friend instead of worrying about the details. Richard and his staff were on top of their game during our time of need and we will forever be grateful for this.
Thanks for being a professional and also a friend during our time of need.
We don't know where to begin with all you did for us during Jimmy's passing, except to say "Thank You"!
You are a true gentleman and professional.

Words can’t express how thankful we are to you! You have been so gracious and caring during this difficult time!
Dear Mr. Jones and staff,
I just want to thank you for all your kindness, patience, understanding , and just the respect you showed myself, my son, family, and friends. I really appreciate you Mr Jones! Your job has to so tough and your so great at it. Again, Thanks Mr Jones and staff at Jones Funeral Home!!!❤️🧡💛💚💙
I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your staff for all your hard work. You made the planning of my dad's funeral easy. Contrary to human belief there was nothing morbid or scary about it. Thank you for allowing us to take our time to talk about our father. Thank you for listening. You allowed us to begin our grieving process. I so appreciate you and your staff. Your time, talent and craft in what you do matters. You went above and beyond to accommodate our every request. Your care, concern and professional left a lasting impression. I would recommend your services to anyone needing to go thru the process. Thank you for helping us thru this process. Thank you for your kindness. Be Blessed.

Mr. Richard Jones of Jones Funeral Home helped me in marking the grave of a great grandfather, Devolco V. W. Scruggs, who died in 1920. The stone was set yesterday, February 29, 2016. It is exactly what I had hope for--even more since I didn't know the name "Scruggs" would also appear on the back of the stone. Since the exact location of the grave has been long forgotten at Miles Cemetery, the stone was erected as a memorial stone for a man who has been too long forgotten. All his descendants who contributed are very pleased. Thank, Mr. Jones.
Just want to say that Mr. Jones goes beyond to make the families loss easier. The littlest things that the family would not think of to do he did. I cannot express enough how thankful I am at what Mr. Jones did for my mom Joan Glenn to make her loss so much easier which in its self is so hard. Thank you from the bottom of my heart an the family for all you did for my family. You were so professional but yet so caring I could not have ask for better. Again thank you.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
