Mary Belle Rinehart of St. James, Mo. passed away at the Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on May 26, 2016. She was 85 years, 1 month and 3 days of age.
Mary Belle Rinehart was born on April 23, 1931 to her parents: Boyd V. and Bessie M. Satterfield Cox in Winterset, Iowa.
On May 31, 1952 at Salem, Arkansas Mary Belle was united in marriage to Thomas Joe Rinehart. He survives at the family home.
Mary Belle Rinehart is survived by her beloved husband Thomas Joe Rinehart of St. James; one son: Robert Rinehart and wife Mary of St. James, Mo.; three daughters: Marilyn Rhew and husband Mike of Owasso, Michigan; Barbara Soper and husband Neil of St. James, Mo.; and Vicki Gorman and husband John of St. James, Missouri, and one sister: Marlene Elrod and husband Lawrence of Cuba, Mo. and six grandchildren: Shannon, Ben, Sarah, Galena, Emily , and Erin; four great-grandchildren: Gabe, Caleb, Morgan, and Noah.
Preceding Mary Belle in death is her parents: Boyd V. and Bessie Cox; one infant brother: James Marion Cox and one sister: Lenore Harthimmer and brother-in-law: Lloyd Harthimmer.
She was a sweet, loving, godly woman, and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandma. She was a wonderful cook and had a good sense of humor. Most importantly, she loved her family and she loved God. She worked at the St. James Schools as a cook for many years and at many local restaurants. She liked to watch birds, to sew, cooking and to take car rides and just see the country.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 5 -8 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Jones Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11 A.M. with Lynn Huggins officiating. Pallbearers will be: Shannon Soper, Gabe Soper, Marshall McDaniels, Grady Huggins, Nate Cook, and Ben Rhew. Honorary pallbearers will be: Randy Rinehart, Dick Branstetter, Issac Helterbrand and Sam Bunyard.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in rural St. James, Mo. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
