Tammy Jean (Copeland) Boyd

Tammy Jean Boyd of St. James passed away at her home with her family at her side, Friday morning April 8, 2016, following a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 47 year of age.

Tammy was born May 5, 1968 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Horace and Barbara Olive Copeland.

She was united in marriage on July 2, 2008 in St. James to Christopher Boyd.

Tammy Boyd is survived by her husband Christopher Boyd of the home in St. James; Daughters:  Misty Payne (J.T) of St. James; Tracy Dame (Justin) of Lebanon; Krista Rainey of Tennessee; Amanda Yeggy (Mark) of Vichy; Ashley Matthews (Bobby) of St. James; Megan Boyd and Bridget Boyd both of Lebanon. Brothers: Jr. Copeland of Troy, Mo; Bob Copeland (JoAnn) of Elsbery, Mo.; Ed Copeland (Patty) of St. Charles and Kevin Copeland of St. James. Sisters: Diane Bishop (Ralph) of Fulton, Mo., Donna Usery (Don) of St. James and Darlene Fields (Bob) of California. 12 grandchildren: Gage, Summer, Zachery, Devin, David, Brooklynn, Kyler, Matthew, Barella, Dawson, Hynleigh and Emma.

Tammy loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person with a powerful will and  showed great perservence. Tammy raised 6 girls that always keep her busy, but still had time to keep up with others. She could have been thought of the founder of Facebook, because she always made sure others were taken care of. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Tammy will lie in state from 6-8 p.m. Sunday April 10, 2016 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday April 11, 2016 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Jerry Baumann officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbears will be J.T. Payne, Bobby Matthews, Justin Dame, Mark Allen, Jordan, Damewood and Austin Watkins. Memorials may be given to the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
