James P. Williams

James P. Williams of St. James, MO passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Phelps County Regional  Medical Center in Rolla, MO.  He was 72 years, 6 months, and 28 days old.

James, the son of Hershel Harold and Lena Minnie Orso Williams, was born March 14, 1944 in St. James, MO.   He was united in marriage to Karen Gayle Schroeder in December 21, 1974 at Flags Springs Church in St. James, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; his mother, Lena Williams of St. James, MO; one son, Michael James Williams and wife, Lorna of Kimberling City, MO; one grandson, Corbin Williams of Kimberling City, MO; one brother, Kenneth H. Williams and wife, Jerri of St. James, MO; two sisters, Rose Mary  Spencer and husband, Lonnie of Rolla, MO and Ruth Ann Ness and husband, Larry of Cook Station, MO;  two great nieces and nephews:  Dawn Williams Kennedy, and Christina Spencer Cresswell; John Williams, Jeffery Spencer, Bryan Ness and Andy Ness along with 11 great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Wiliams in 2000.

James served in the United States Navy for 4 years.  He worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for several years, and after moving to St. James he worked for California Manufacturing for 23 years until it closed, he then worked for Feeler Service Co. until his retirement.

Graveside services with full military honors will be 10:00 A.M. Friday October 28, 2016 at the Missouri State Veteran's Cemetery at Fort Leonard, Wood, MO.
