Gary Michael Collier

Gary Michael Collier Sr. of St. James, Mo. passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.  He was 63 years, 11 months, and 10 days of age.

Gary Collier Sr. was born on May 3, 1952 in Rolla, Mo. to his parents: Elmer and Rebul Gunter Collier.  Gary Collier was united in marriage to Alice Diane Moreland on February 28, 1981 in St. James, Mo.

Gary Collier Sr.  was a hard working man and drove a truck for many years.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Gary Collier Sr. is survived by his wife: Alice Diane Collier of St. James, Mo.; four daughters: Michelle Koons and husband Mike of St. James; Jenny Collier and life partner Schyler Harris of St. James; Crystal Collier and husband Josh Thornhill of St. James; Jamie Gilmore and husband Jason of Sedalia, Mo.;  one son: Mike Collier and wife Robyn of Doolittle, Mo.; sister: Clara Lou Sooter of St. James, and Billie Birch and husband Carl of St. Louis, Mo. Along with nine grandchildren: Zachary, Brayden, Kaitlyn, Nicky, Amie, Ethan, Jakob, Mikey, and Justin, along with many other relatives and extended friends.

Preceding Gary Collier Sr. in death are his parents: Elmer and Rebul Gunter Collier; brother: Elmer Jake Collier; sister: Jane Copeland; and one brother-in-law: Charles Sooter and Ralph Copeland Jr.

Visitation for Gary Collier Sr. will be from 6 - 8 pm on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.  with Tim Hughes officiating.  Songs will be The Old Rugged Cross; and Amazing Grace will be sang by Lori Garver.

Memorials may be made to the Collier family.  Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
