Pauline “Jane” Murphy of Vienna, Missouri passed away at her home in Vienna on Monday, November 9, 2015. She was 80 years, 9 months and 25 days of age.
Jane Parker was born January 16, 1935 in Vienna, Missouri, a daughter of Theron Columbus and Fanny Dale (Massey) Parker. Jane was united in marriage on June 4, 1955 to Billy Lloyd Murphy.
Jane was a member of the Vienna United Methodist Church. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Jane will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to mourn the passing of Jane include her husband: Billy Lloyd Murphy of the home; one son: Jeffrey Murphy and wife Sheila of Vienna; two daughters: Melanee Stricklan and husband Berry of Vienna and Carol Schulte and husband John of Argyle; seven grandchildren: Coad and Angela Stricklan, Jeffrey and Jessica Stricklan, Ashley and Russell Grigsby, Audrey Murphy and Dennis Hopgood, John and Tiffany Schulte, Sarah and Jamie Jones, and Sam Schulte; 16 great-grandchildren: Madison, Gavin, Cash, Jaelee, Jude, Josie, Colton, Reece, Jordan, Ava, Clay, John Henry, George, Brett, Clara, and Luke; two sisters: Sue Hodge of Phoenix, Arizona and Sally Goodman and husband Lynn of Overland Park, Kansas; one sister-in-law: Mary Ellen Schwartze and husband Gene of Vienna; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her father on July 24, 1979; her mother on July 19, 1999; four brothers, infant Dale Columbus Parker on December 2, 1933, Larry Joe Parker on March 21, 1992, Thomas Arthur Parker on April 24, 2007 and Bill Massey Parker on January 29, 2012; a brother-in-law, Jim Hodge on September 23, 2011; a sister-in-law, Marcella Parker on April 2, 2000; and a nephew, David Parker on April 2, 2010.
Visitation will be from 9 - 11 AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Vienna United Methodist Church in Vienna, Missouri.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Vienna United Methodist Church in Vienna, Missouri with Lynn Quist officiating. Burial will be in the Vienna Public Cemetery.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
