Janalyn "Jan" Gayle Lefebvre of St. James, Mo. passed away at Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla,  Mo. on Sunday, September 18, 2016.  She was 68 years, 5 months, and 9 days of age.

 

Janalyn Lefebvre was born on April  9, 1948  in Pinckneyville, Illinois to her parents: Billie Ray and Helen Madeline Cook Koenegstein.

 

Janalyn Lefebvre is survived by her husband of the home: Eugene "Gene" Lefebvre Jr. of St. James, Mo.; one son: Gene the 3rd Lefebvre and wife Joanna of St. James, Mo. and one daughter: Sarah Wagoner of St. James, Mo.; two sisters: Patricia Whitmore and husband John of Vallencia, CA. and LuJean Roberts and husband Chuck of Effingham, Illinois; along with four grandchildren: Rodger "Alex" Wagoner, Nicholas Wagoner, Jacob Wagoner and Michael Lefebvre.

 

Preceding Janalyn Lefebvre in death is her parents:  Billie Ray and Helen Madeline Cook Koenegstein.

 

Jan was a loving and kind wife and mother.  She loved everyone, and she would help anyone when needed.  Her determination carried her through several illnesses in the past few years; her family describes her determination to conquer each illness or surgery  with admiration.  She was a very creative person; she loved painting, crotcheting, knitting and crafts of all kinds.  She loving created blankets, teddy bears, hats, scarves and gloves for her children and grandchildren.  She was very fond of her collector plates, being very disappointed if one were broken as her son Eugene knows very well.  She was a member of the Methodist Church in St. James and Newburg; she played the organ and piano for church services and funerals.  She worked at Boys Town for 15 years as a child care worker.  She also worked at Shade Tree Arts and Meramec Springs.

 

Visitation for Janalyn Lefebvre will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 beginning at 12 noon at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. 

 

Funeral service  will be conducted on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home  with Mick Thrasher officiating.   Songs will be: In The Garden, Amazing Grace, and Jesus Is The Sweetest Name I Know.

 

 

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
