Virginia L. Williams of St. James, Mo. passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the St. James Living Center in St. James, Mo. She was 79 years, 9 months and 6 days of age.
Virginia L. Williams was born on April 29, 1938 to her parents William and Stella Mayberry Frey in Rolla, Mo. She was united in marriage to John Williams on April 27, 1957 in Rolla, Mo.
Viriginia Williams was a loving wife and mother. She worked at Larry's Men shop in Florrisant, Mo. for 30 years. Larrys was an exclusive high end clothing store where Virginia did custom tailoring. She was know for her preciseness and quick work. When there son John was growing up he had seen a unique shirt that little Joe was wearing on Bonanza and John commented how he would love to have one. Before the show was over Virginia had made one for John. Virginia made a lot of clothing for John, when other boys were wearing khaki pants, John would be adorn with a three piece suit. After Virginia and her husband John moved to St. James, Virginia continued to sew. She made several formals for her mother Stella and aunt Della Frey when they attended Special Eastern Star Meetings. Virginia and John were married 60 years together and hold many special memories together. She will be sadly missed.
Virginia Williams is survived by husband: John Williams of St. James and one son: John Joseph Williams and wife Roxanne of Pekin, Illinois; one brother: and Billy Frey of Jasper, Alabama. and sister Delores Furling of Springfield, Illinois.
Virginia Williams is deceased by her parents: William and Stella Mayberry Frey; one brother: Rusty Frey and one brother-in-law: Buck Furling.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo. with Aaron Jeffers officiating.
