Terry Lynne (Kidd) Dillon passed away on September 17, 2023, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was 62 years of age.

To know her was to know kindness. Her love was akin to a calm sea’s breeze - warm, gentle, and felt by many. She was a selfless mother and Mimi, a loving wife, and an extraordinary woman with an innate ability to brighten even the darkest of days.

Terry was a gifted artist that enjoyed dancing, choreography, and literature. She possessed a true talent of capturing the beauty she found in the world around her in her sketchbook as well as on her paint canvas.

Terry was born in Radford, Virginia on March 21, 1961. She attended Shawnee Mission South High School before graduating from Carthage High School in 1979. She then attended college at Missouri State in Springfield, MO obtaining a bachelors in Information Technology.

Terry met the love of her life, JR Dillon, in Springfield, MO her Senior year in college. They were married in 1986 in Carthage, MO.

Terry loved spending time with her family more than anything in the world. She was an astute professional in healthcare technology as well as a beloved Grandma. Terry enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and Dancing With The Stars which she chatted about with her friends and family. When Terry was younger, she was a Kansas City Chiefette and in college, a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority.

Her legacy survives in her sons Ethan and Sean, Ethan’s wife Tiffany, her grandson Grayson, her sister Kristi Hodkin, and her brothers Larry and Vince Kidd. Terry was adored by her sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Opal Kidd, her brother Barry Kidd, and her husband, James Reeves Dillon.

The graveside service will commence Saturday September 23, 2023 2:00 PM at Saint James Cemetery in Saint James, MO. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Kansas City. In lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to Children’s Mercy donation website.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home of St. James, Missouri.
