Richard Lee Russell of Marble Head, IL, formerly of St. James, MO, passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, January 16, 2022. He was 32 years of age.
Richard was a very passionate person who loved to make others laugh and lit up a room with his smile. He loved to have in depth conversations about politics, baseball, and football. His favorite teams were the St. Louis Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers. Richard was a man that had a deep conviction. He loved his children immensely, they were everything to him. He spoke about the two of them often and with so much pride.
He is survived by his parents, Cindy Russell and Jim Seest of Rolla, MO, Richard Russell and Donna Clifford of Fort Madison, IA; mother of his Children, Sumiko Ward-Velez; daughter, Amaya Russell; son, Adrian Caesar all of Quincy, IL; three sisters: Shannan Gahr and husband Wes, Cora Meyer and husband Travis, Vanessa Wilfong and husband Edwin; seven nieces: Tessa, Avery, Whitley, Audrey, Adelinn, Riley, and Lorelei; three nephews: Paxton, Joseph, and Thatcher, along with his grandparents, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation for Richard will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
Funeral Service will also be conducted on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Hawks, Nick Carney, Josh Gregory, Wes Gahr, Travis Meyer, and Edwin Wilfong. Don Carson will be officiating the service.
Memorial may be given to the Richard's Children. Checks may be wrote to Shannan Gahr.
