Reta Roark Obituary

Reta Louise Roark of St. James, MO passed away January 4, 2021 at the St. Joe Manor Care Center in Bonne Terre, MO. She was 79 years of age.

 

She was born October 22, 1941 in Rolla, MO, the daughter of the late Rogers “Pete” and Dorothy Louise Stough Falkenrath. She was united in marriage to Carl Roark Sr. on December 4, 1984.  He entered into rest April 16, 2010.

 

Survivors include her daughters: Glenda Knueven and her husband, Robert Jay of Cuba and Brenda Martin and her husband, Orville of St. James; brothers: Daniel Ruskin and Darrel Reggie; sisters: Becky Falkenrath Wallace of Oregon and Rosetta Kreisel of Arizona.  She is further survived by 4 grandchildren: Dawn, Melissa, Candice and Chanel and 7 Great-grandchildren: Jaice, Dakota, Clayton,, Hailynn, Victoria and Hollan.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother: Dale Rogers Falkenrath and one great grandchild Shelby

 

Reta, was an outdoor person who loved working on the farm. She had chickens, dogs and even had a horses that she rode. Reta’s biggest love was cooking big meals for the family.  She loved big holiday gatherings and those gathering for hunting at the farm. She was known for her excellent cakes and pies. Reta loved her flowers and the hummingbirds when they came to feed.

 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
