Paul Bryan Wood Jr

 Paul Bryan Wood, Jr. age 33, of St. James, laid down in the arms of Jesus on October 23, 2021, at St. Louis, Missouri.

Paul was born on August 25, 1988, in Rolla, Missouri to Paul Bryan Wood, Sr and Julie K. McWhorter.

During his short time with us, Paul enjoyed playing music and the great outdoors. He took after his father on his guitar playing skills. He loved sitting around playing with his brothers, cousins, and friends. All who knew him and were closes to him knew he had a big heart and if he was able to help anyone in any way he would. He loved going to church when he could. He was a member of Higher Call Worship Center, in Newburg, Missouri.  He loved Jesus and he knew without a doubt that Jesus loved him.

Preceding Paul's death were his grandparents, James E. Wood, and Vivian D. (Wood) Forshey. David A. McWhorter and Bonnie L. McWhorter. Two uncles, Christopher Jackson and James E. Wood, Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Paul Bryan Wood, Sr and wife Melissa of Newburg, Missouri. Julie K. McWhorter of St. James. His sisters Sara Stewart and fiancée Randy Boyce of Richland, Missouri. Cara Matheny and husband Joe of Versailles, Missouri. His brothers David Wood of St. James and Sean Widner and fiancée Shaylee of St. Robert, Missouri.

He has several nieces and nephews and loved them each and every one. Caden, Grace, Aaron, Nova, Lilah, Aaliyah, and Roen. He had a very special relationship with Nova and Lilah.

He had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

He will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him.

Paul will lie in state at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with visitation on Friday, October 29, 2021, for the family at 4 pm. Friends from 5 pm-7 pm, with service at 7 pm.

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10 am at Hooker Cemetery in Devil’s Elbow, Missouri.

Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home, St. James, Missouri.
