Nancy Louise (LaBarge) Southard

Nancy Louise Southard of Rolla passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at Rolla Health and Rehabilitation Suites in Rolla, Missouri. She was 58 years of age.

Nancy, the daughter of the late Leonard W. LaBarge and Caroline Bernett LaBarge, was born June 21, 1964 in Rolla, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Frank of Rolla, Missouri; two sons: Jeremy (Allie) Southard and Cody Jackson of Republic, Missouri; daughter, Courtney Southard of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Larry (Dolly) LaBarge of Licking, MO; sister, Leasa (Pete) Elrod of St. James, Missouri; brother-in-law, George McAntire of St. James, Missouri; three grandchildren: Billy, Timmy (Cheyenne) and Kayla; three great grandchildren: Ellie, Emmitt, and LoriLi; and a great grandchild on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Pam McAntire.

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, and a sweet friend to many. Nancy was gifted with a talent of writing; her words seem to flow easily on the page as she shared her family’s latest adventure or news about the arrival of her latest grandchild.  Her words motivated us to all to live life to the fullest and to remember each other on our journey by sharing words of faith and encouragement. Even during her health struggles, she set an example for us by keeping a positive outlook, and she lovingly returned the blessing of prayer to her family and friends as they dealt with life’s struggles.

Nancy graduated from John F. Hodge High School in 1982. After high school graduation, she went to college and studied business administration. She worked for COPIC in Rolla, Missouri as an administrator. She enjoyed collecting lighthouses. Above all, she enjoyed time with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2023 at Jones  Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Memorial service will 6:00 PM Friday, March 24, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
