Michael Mickey Jonathan Schmitt

Michael Mikey Jonathan Schmitt of St. James passed away Friday, July 16, 2021. He was 35 years of age.

Michael Mikey Schmitt was born January 17, 1986, in Brandon, Florida the son of Edward and Monica Terrill Schmitt.

On June 14, 2008,  he was united in marriage to Tiffany Ann Mouser at Rosati, MO. They were high school sweethearts. She survives at the family home. 

Mikey is survived by his wife Tiffany Schmitt. Son Jonathan Elvin Schmitt of St. James. Father Edward Schmitt of Kansas City, Kansas and dear mother Monica Terrill and step-father Larry Armistead of St. James. . Brother John and Sarah Terrill of St. James and brother in law Chris Mouser of Doolittle, MO, along with a sister Christina Schmitt of St. James, MO. and sister in law  Trista  Rogers of Cuba, MO. Nieces, Ashley Mundale, Alexis Deluca, Emma Rogers, Ruby Terrill, and Gracie Knowlton, along with lots of aunt's and uncles and many other relatives and lots of friends too. 

Mikey was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in St. James. He loved God and loved to help people. He was a gifted person who excelled at everything he did. He was a carpenter by trade and was well known for his hard work and dedicated work ethic. Mike loved sports, including football, and basketball. His greatest gift in life was his ability to serve God, be a good son to his parents, husband to Tiffany, and be a good father to Jonathan. Life is full of adventures and even though Mike's life on this earth was short, the love he gave and the love he received can never be taken away and will never be forgotten. He impacted everyone he encountered.

Visitation for Mickey Schmitt will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James

Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, with Alecia Fischer officiating. Those serving as pallbearers will be John Reuben Terrill, Jospeh J.L. Thomason, Chad Pruitt, Travis Henson, Chris Mouser, and  Raymond Byrd. With Honorary pallbearer Tom White who could not be here.  Michael will be buried in the family plot at the High Gate Church Cemetery.
