Mark Lee Macey of Sullivan passed away June 30, 2021, at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was 61 years of age.
Mark, the son of Phillip Macey and the late Doris Henry was born March 15, 1960, in West Plains, MO. He was united in marriage to Serena Midgett on November 2, 2013, in Branson, MO.
He is survived by his father, Phillip Macey of St. James, MO; his wife, Serena Macey of Sullivan, MO; one brother, Steven Macey and his wife Sherryl of St. James, MO; one sister, Dana Baker and husband, Kevin of St. James, MO; nieces and nephews: Zack Macey, Megan Campbell, Isaiah Macey, Scott Baker, Logan Baker, and Alek Baker, and other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Henry.
Mark was a loving husband, son, brother, son-in-law, and uncle. He was kind and caring; he was always there and knew what to do when he was needed. He was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed swimming, hunting, and fishing. He loved animals, especially his dogs: Rusty, Saxton, and Bandit. He referred to them as “his boys.” He was a pilot, and he enjoyed the time that he got to fly.
Mark served in the United States Navy where he worked on fighter Jets. He worked at the Sullivan Airport as an aircraft mechanic for 10 years.
Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 9, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
Visitation will be 1 PM Friday, July 9, 2021, at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
