Jerry Hodorowski of Rolla passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO. He was 80 years of age.

Jerry, the son of the late John and Irene Jerzakowski Hodorowski, was born May 9, 1940 in

Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Schroeder on July 15, 1967 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and to this union, two daughters were born.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Rolla, MO; two daughters: Paula Priester and husband, Rod of Arlington, TN and Peggy Jones of Memphis, TN; sister, Rita Milosch and husband, Eugene of Oak Creek, WI; brother-in-law, David Wilinski; grandchildren: Caitlin Priester, Madie Jones, Connor Priester and Aaron Jones and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sharon Wilinski.

Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was kind and caring to everyone that he met, and he loved to share the gospel with people whenever situations lent the time. Being a New Testament Christian, he wanted everyone to return to the practice of simple New Testament Christianity found only in the Bible. His favorite verse of scripture was Acts 17:11. He was an active member of the St. James church of Christ.

He loved traveling across the United States, especially to Tennessee to visit his daughters’ families for birthdays. He enjoyed music; Mozart and Bluegrass were his favorites.  He spent many hours reading. Religous, American and European history were his favorite topics to research.  Daily walks with Bonnie amongst the beauties of nature, God's creation, filled his retirement years with many hours of pleasure.

Jerry served in Air Force Reserves at General Billy Mitchell Field in Milwaukee, WI; he was activated for the Cuban Crisis in 1962. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Marquette University. He worked for three years with the U. S. Forest Service in Wisconsin and 23 years with the U. S. Geological Survey in Rolla, MO as part of the Human Relations department. He retired from USGS in May 1994.
