Jeffrey Paul Duckett

Jeffery Paul Duckett of St. James passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Rolla, MO. He was 51 years of age.

Jeffery was born on July 24, 1969 in Bonne Terre, MO to Melissa Duckett McKelvey.  He was united in marriage to June Margaret Trew on June 4, 2016 in St. James, MO.

He is survived by his wife, June Margaret Trew Duckett of 4 years 3 months; two step daughters: Ella Danielle Barcomb and Emilea Grace Barcomb of St. James;  his mother Melissa McKelvey of Farmington, Mo; his mother-in-law Pastor Virginia Trew of Rolla, Mo; Uncle Terry and Aunt Marie Duckett of Farmington, MO and Uncle David and Aunt Elaine Duckett of Millbrook, Al.

He is preceded in death by his loving grandparents: Lucille and Van Duckett.

Before moving to St. James, MO, Jeff attended the First Baptist Church of Bonne Terre, MO for many years.  Jeff worked for McDonald's in Desloge, Mo for 27 years then moved to St. James, MO in May 2016 to marry his wife, June.

Jeff transferred to St. James McDonald's where he worked for 4 years.  Jeff was known and loved by all who knew him from both places of McDonald's for a total of 31 years (1989-2020).

Jeff graduated in 1987 from Farmington High School and also graduated in 1989 from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo with an Associates Degree.

Jeff was a loving member of First Assembly of God in St. James, MO.  He was spirit-filled and baptized into Pentecost.  Jeff was involved in the men's ministry where he participated in meetings, fund raisers, trips and most of all the monthly Men's Breakfast which took place at Country Bob's Cafe on each first Saturday.  Jeff would tease his wife, June about only men could go.  However, he would come to tell June that other men's wives were there.  

Jeff lead the church congregation in songs for the Wednesday night services.  He loved the Hymns Book, and he knew just about every song.  Jeff loved and served the Lord God with all his heart.   Jeff will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be 10AM Monday, September 21st at Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Memorial service will be 11 AM at Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Bro. Mick Thrasher and  officiating.  Vocalist will be Gene Roark; songs will be "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "One Day at a Time."

Memorials are suggested to the Jones Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
