Iver Chris Potts

Iver Chris Potts of St. James passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO. He was 39 years of age.

Chris, the son of Harry Iver and Patricia Ann Barton Potts, was born December 28, 1978 in Rolla, MO.

Chris is survived by his parents, Harry and Patricia of St. James; two sisters: Katina Doyle and husband, Willard, Sr. of Linn, MO and Felicia Schmidt and husband, Mark of Bland, MO; and nephews: Willard, Jr., Jonathon, Tyler, Nathan, Nathaniel, Cordell, and Koltin and great nephew, Lawson Doyle.

Chris was a loveable person; he was loved by all people. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially with his family. His father described him as all country; he loved hunting, fishing, partying, mud trucks, 4 wheelers, and side by sides. Many summer nights were spent on the rivers camping. The only things that made his outside time any better was spending it with his nephews. He adored his nephews. He attended Belle High School.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday, September 4th at Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 5th at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James with Terry Hogan officiating. Pallbearers will be Willard Doyle, Jr., Nathaniel Schmidt, Tyler Schmidt, Peter Heltin, Nathan Schmidt, and Mark Schmidt. Honorary pallbearers will be Cordell Schmidt, Jonathon Doyle, and Koltin Schmidt. Interment will be in the High Gate Cemetery.
