Gloria Ann (Wilson) Benson

Gloria Ann Benson of St. James passed away Tuesday September 22, 2020 at Phelps Health following a lengthy illness. She was 58 years of age.

She was born October 26, 1961 in Rolla, Mo the daughter of the late Robert and Maude Sharp Wilson.

On January 23, 2017 in Steelville, MO, Gloria was united in marriage to Bruce Benson.

Mrs. Benson is survived by her husband Bruce Benson, Son: Jeremy Benson and Raven Pruitt of St. James: Daughters: Gracie Fowler and Ivy Fowler of Rolla; Brothers: Gerald Davault and wife Jill of Rolla and Robert Willett of Arkansas. Sisters: Norma Forner of Strafford, MO and Grace Baldwin and husband Ken of Idaho. Granddaughter: McKinlee Benson and Mother-In-Law: Dorothy Benson of St. James.

Gloria loved her family and her daughters were her pride and joy. She enjoyed needle work and crochet. When her health permitted she loved to bowl. Bruce and Gloria worshipped at the Solid Rock Christian Church in St. James.

Gloria Benson will lie in state Friday September 25, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday September 26, 2020 at the Jones Funeral Home with Craig Rippy officiating. Becky Rippy will play the piano and sing; Just a Closer Walk With Thee and Amazing Grace, and Go Rest High on That Mountain will be played.

Burial will be at the Ozark Hill Memorial Gardens in Rolla.
