George Paul Bettison

George Paul Bettison Jr., of St. James, Missouri passed away Monday, March 15th, 2021 at his home. He was 77 years of age.

He was born September 1st, 1943 in St. Louis Missouri the son of the late George Paul Bettison Sr. and Dorothy Johanna DeSavoye Bettison.

George Bettison, was united in marriage to Lizz Hempen. She entered into rest on January 22nd, 2016.

He is survived by four sons: Jim Bettison and his wife Karen of Bellflower, Missouri; Chris Bettison of New York City, New York; Paul Bettison of Dixon, Missouri and Phil Bettison and his wife Charity of Aurora, Colorado. George is further survived by one daughter Laura Bettison of Salt Lake City, Utah and one sister Patricia “Patsy” Scheveling of Sidney, Australia, along with 9 grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Lizz, and one sister Dorothy Thompson.

Mr. Bettison was retired from the Garlich Printing company of Fenton, Missouri. He served his country in the United States Navy.

A Celebration of Mr. Bettison’s Life will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, March 20th at Belmont Vineyards in Leasburg, MO.
