Francis Lawrence "Larry" Decker III, passed away Friday May 10, 2019 at Phelps Health in Rolla. He was 76 Years of age.
Larry Decker was born in St. Louis, Mo., on February 10, 1943 the son of the late Francis Lawrence Decker Jr., and Margaret Kage Decker.
He was united in marriage to Marilyn Marie Fritzgerald on November 17, 1962 in St. Louis,Mo.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn Decker; Son:Larry Decker IV and his wife Jackie of Marilyn Heights, Mo., Daughters: Mary Mullins and husband Barry of Richland, Mo, Katie Small and husband Greg of St. Louis and Debbie Kordonowy and Stephanie Easter. Further survived by brothers: Richard Decker of St Charles, Mo., and James Decker of St Peters, Mo. Sisters: Nancy Kempf of St Louis, Stacie Decker of Troy, Illinois and Peggy Baker of Eolia, Mo. Larry had 12 every special grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Larry Loved his family, and you would often hear him talk about how proud he was of all of them. He loved to travel, especially in the Southern part of the United States, he loved the old majestic homes and loved to eat the cajun food. He brought home the love of spicy food and cooked meals for his family and friends and watched many episodes of cooking shows on television. In his younger years he would float the rivers. Larry owned two canoes just in case one failed. He enjoyed the outdoor with his family, fishing with the grandkids or watching them play sports. He will be sadly missed.
Larry Decker will lie in state Monday from 6-8 p.m. May 13,2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James. Prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday May 14, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James. Burial will be in the Family Plot in the Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis. Pallbearers will be Wyatt Stephens, Noah Mullin, Sam Decker, Charles Park, Andrew Decker and Jesse Kordonowy. Memorial may be given the the St. James Kiwanis Club.
