Elmer Raymond Keeney

Elmer Raymond Keeney of St. James passed away Tuesday August 8th, 2023, at the St. James Living Center. He was 93 years of age.

Raymond Keeney was born in Edgar Springs, Mo on January 19, 1930 the son of the late Marion Elmer and Nancy Magdaline Hayes Keeney.

On June 16, 1956, at the St. James Christian Church, Raymond was united in marriage to Margorie Maxcine Harrouff.

Raymond was born and raised in Edgar Springs, Mo. He entered the United State Air Force on January 11, 1952 in St. Louis. His military career took to many places around the world, but his heart remained in Missouri. He received many awards and decorations. He was a 20-year Air Force Veteran. Raymond was very active in the St. James Christian Church having served on the Board for many years. He loved his dear wife, Margorie. They were inseparable, and were never far apart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Raymond Keeney is survived by his beloved wife Margorie, of 67 years. Sister: Erma Cooper of Rolla, Niece Vickie Goodwin of California, Niece Karen Holtkamp and husband Michael of Rolla., great-niece Dena Smart and husband Michael and Cousin, Phyllis Rikard.

Raymond Keeney will lie in state at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 11, 2023 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 11, 2023 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Alan Wynn officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at the St. James Cemetery.
