Elmer Carron Jr. Obituary

Elmer E. "Bud" Carron of St Peters, MO passed away Saturday, November 21,2020 at Crabb Apple Village in St. Clair, MO following a lengthy illness. He was 82 years of age.


Bud, as he was known by his family and friends, was born November 30, 1937 in Crystal City, MO.  He was son of the late Elmer and Lola Ethel Thompson Carron.


He is survived by his brother, Mike Carron and his wife Donna of St. Charles, MO;  sister-in-law, Diane Carron of Louisville, Kentucky along with many nieces and nephews.


Bud is preceded in death by his parents, brother Dave Carron, Sisters: June Thomas and her husband John and Elma Lee Jones and her husband Howard, Nephews: Greg and Gary Thomas and niece Kathy Jones.


Bud Carron grew up in Belle, MO; he graduated from Belle High School in 1955. He continued his education in Warrensburg, MO where he received his Master's Degree in Elementary Education. While attending school he worked at the Sweeney-Phillips Funeral Home as an after hours coordinator.  He taught at River View Gardens School System for many years teaching middle school gifted children. In later years, he taught at the St. Peters School District. He retired with over 40 years in public education. He enjoyed traveling to Europe and many overseas countries. Family genealogy was very important to him; he gifted each of his nieces and nephews with large notebooks of family history.  Having no children of his own, he spoiled his nieces and nephew as they grew up. You always knew Bud's opinion on any subject because he was not shy to share it.


Bud will lie in state Friday, November 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

 

Funeral Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 27,2020 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO with brother Larry Morris officiating.  Kennedy Jones, a great nephew, will sing "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden". Burial will be in the family plot at the Country Side Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owensville, MO.  Pallbearers willl be Michael Biermann, Steve Biermann, Sam Thomas, Chad Carron, Richard Jones and Zack Miller.


Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
