Donald Coy ”Shine” Wethy Jr. of St. James passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in St. James, MO. He was 36 years of age.
He was born June 5, 1984, in Rolla, M0, the son of Donald Coy Wethy, Sr. of St. James and Linda Faulkner Bullock of St. James, MO.
He is survived by his Mother: Linda Bullock and her husband Terry of St. James. His father: Donald Wethy of St. James; sisters: Lacy Guinn of St. James and Kathleen O’Donnell of St James; nieces: Jalynn Ranzini, Kayla and Bailey O’Donnell, nephews: Gaige Guinn and Taylor Shipp; uncles and aunts including Sandra Johnson and her husband, Randy of St. James, MO., along with many other relatives and special friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Anette Wethy, and maternal grandparents, George and Charlotte Faulkner along with cousins: Roger Ellis and Justin Brim.
“Shine” as he was known by his family and friends loved the outdoors. He loved fishing and spent many summers on the Osage River. He enjoyed hunting, spring turkey season, and the fall deer season. Most of all, he loved his family and especially his mom. Shine would look at his mother and say “Love your face” or “Love your Hair”. He was a joker, loved to laugh and aggravate his nephews. He considered himself a mechanic, but like most car guys, he lacked the skill that attributed to his speed in completing a project. He loved spending time with friends and family. He will be sadly missed.
Shine” will lie in state at 12 noon on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Mick Thrasher officiating. Memorial are suggested to the Jones Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
