Dennis Keith Culler, Sr.

Dennis Culler, Sr. of St. James passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 at his home. He was 72 years of age.

Dennis, the son of the late Norbert and Daisy Viola Perkins Culler, was born April 5, 1948 in St. Louis, MO. He was united in marriage to Judy Williams in St. Louis, MO; to this union, three children were born.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Judy of St. James; one son, Dennis Keith Culler, Jr. of Illinois; two daughters: Judy Daisy Cowee and husband, Brian of St. Louis, MO and Laura Jackie Wilson of St. James, MO; one brother, Gary Culler and wife, Donna of St. Peters, MO; eight grandchildren: Jacob Andrew Parker, Lacie Ann Cowee, Zackery Christian Flanery, Dennis Keith Culler III, Cameron Isiah Flanery, Brandon William Wilson, Olivia Angel Wilson and Kacie Annabel Cowee and one great grandson Thomas Kenneth Usher IV.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Daisy Culler.

Dennis was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa. He provided for his family in many ways; we will always be so grateful for all that he has done. He will forever be loved by his family and friends. He loved to be outdoors working in his garage and fishing with his wife and grandsons. He enjoyed road trips and spoiling his grandkids. He was a veteran for 4 years, and he went into the police force shortly after. He became a sergeant on the police force, and his badge number was DSN7376.  He retired with 37 years of service. In 2005, he was awarded a Medal of Valor. He was a Christian, and he was a member at First Baptist church in St. James, MO. He spent many hours volunteering at the church mowing lawns with his grandsons and cooking for the men’s breakfasts and the Easter Sunrise services.

A memorial Service with Full Military Honors will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday December 12, 2020 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Jerry Bauman officiating.
