David Ledare Guyton

David Ledare Guyton of Doolittle, MO passed away following a sudden heart attack on Tuesday, March 7, 2023  at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. He was 63 years of age.

David Guyton, the son of the late Maurice and Davene (Wilson) Guyton, was born September 17, 1959 in Rolla, MO.

He was united in marriage in 1982, to Judy Harris; they enjoyed over 40 years together.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Judy of Doolittle, MO; two brothers: Jimmy Guyton and wife, Barb of Doolittle, MO and Tom Guyton of Newburg, MO; two sisters: Carol Douglas of Newburg, MO and Linda Gladden of Doolittle, MO; mother-In-Law, Helen Harris of St. James, MO; Uncle Pete Wilson and wife, Phyllis; Aunt Joan Carson, and his beloved dog, Coupie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Dave and Lillie Wilson; father-In-law, James Harris, brother-in-laws: Allen Harris, James Douglas and Robert Gladden.

David was always busy working and always had a project in mind. He worked construction for many years, and he built many houses in the area. He worked for the railroad for several years. He had a great collection of tools for building trades and for working on vehicles. He even had a car lot at one time. If you visited his house, you would see the many items he had built. His most recent build was a beautiful oak fireplace. He will be sadly missed.

David will lie in state at 10 AM Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Christian Church in Newburg, MO.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 12 Noon Monday, March 13, 2023 at the Christian Church in Newburg, MO with Brother Andy Madison officiating. Burial will be in the family plot at the Newburg Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association and the Gideon Society. Pallbearers will be K.J. Grayson, Jared Douglas, Chris Harris, Bill Hoss, David Ray and John Borders. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Cox, Buster Fisher, Gary Bray and C.A. Root.
