Daniel James Stroud

Daniel James Stroud of St.James, Mo. passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home in rural St. James, Mo. Daniel Stroud was 85 years, 5 months, and 2 days of age.

Daniel Stroud Was born on December 13, 1933 in Dexter, Missouri to his parents: Robert and Cora May Rose Stroud. He was united in marriage to Lola Marie Taylor on July 12, 1955 in DeSoto County, Mississippi.

Daniel Stroud loved to go coon, deer and duck hunting. He also loved to go fishing. He had a coon dog that was a hunting champion for 3 years. He loved inviting people out to his house. He was a Pentocostal Preacher; a Gospel Bass Singer and loved to sing and sang on the radio. He also loved to sing with his famly and to do traveling with them also.

He was a laborer in an Organ Factory for many years, before he became a farmer. 

Daniel Stroud is survived by sons: James Daniel Stroud and William Stroud both of Vienna, Mo.;

daughters: Lola Gross and husband Paul of O'Fallon, Mo.; Linda and Garland Pyatt of St. James, Mo.

Daniel Sroud is preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Cora Mae Rose Stroud; daughter: Sarah Swaringam; sister: Hazel Baker and brother-in-law: Herbert Baker and one granddaughter: Emily Ann Bell and one nephew: David Baker.

Visitation for Daniel Stroud will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 1 PM with Tim Blackwell officiating at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery in St. James, Mo.

All arrangments are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.
