Connie Marlene (Close) Wiles

Connie Marlene Wiles of St. James passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO. She was 75 years of age.

Connie, the daughter of the late Willie and Anna M. (Snow) Close, was born April 18, 1948 in Pilot Knob, MO.

Connie is survived in death by her husband, Mark of St. James; children: Russell Henderson and wife, Julie of Russellville, KY; Jesse Wiles (Loren) of Sullivan, MO; Mary Fife (David) of Leasburg, MO; Shelby George and husband, Michael of Bourbon, MO, and Lora Henderson of St. Louis, MO; brother, Billy Close and wife, Julie of Stoney Hill, MO; sisters: Jeanett Strosnider and husband, Jim of Sullivan, MO; Lavada Sanders of Eldon, MO; Susan Czechin and husband, Sonnie of Owensville, MO; Sharon Meyers and husband, Mark of Stoney Hill, MO; Judy Fritzemeyer and husband, Jerry of Stoney Hill, MO; and Sandy Lackman (Keith) of Stoney Hill, MO; brothers-in-law, Tim Wiles and wife, Sandy of St. James, MO and David Wiles and wife, Patty of Bourbon, MO; sister-in-law, Patti Azar and husband, Butch of Leasburg, MO; 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents.

Connie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her Yorkie dog, Little Teddy; he was a great friend. She loved singing about her Lord and reading scripture. Her husband, Mark, would always lovingly share one more song or one more scripture each morning on his way to work. She attended Crossroads Bible College for 2 years. She worked over 30 years in the Mr. Carmel, IL area as a cosmetologist.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at First Assembly of God Church in St. James, MO with Bro. Mick Thrasher officiating. Pallbearers will be Dakota Jarvis, Montana Jarvis, Gabe Wiles, Jesse Wiles, Dave Wiles, and Tim Wiles. Burial will be in the St. James Cemetery.
