Cheryl Ann Watson of St. James passed away Wednesday morning March 3, 2021, at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO following a lengthy illness of cancer. She was 61 years of age.
She was born December 13, 1959, in Rolla, MO, the daughter of the late Emmett Charles and Shirley Ann Dedrick Bunton.
Cheryl was united in marriage to Wade Watson. They truly enjoyed their marriage for 33 years.
Cheryl was a caring loving person who always had a smile on her face. Her life was centered around her family. Wade and Cheryl were very close, where you saw Wade you saw Cheryl, and whatever Wade wanted to do Cheryl was beside him enjoying the adventure whether it be back roading, going to Springfield to Bass Pro, riding dune buggies, or touring the country in the Jeep. Cheryl was always enjoyed spending time with Wade. She loved her daughters Jess and Linda and would often play her favorite Elvis Music for them. Cheryl was very fond of her Elvis collection. Her daughters graciously listened, but rarely found the love that Cheryl had for Elvis. Madison and Quinten were Cheryl’s pride and joy, she never found any wrong with either of her grandchildren and they knew that at grandma’s house, the sky was limit. She enjoyed Old Classic Country Music and oftentimes the music was loud and Cheryl and the grandkids would clear the living room floor and make it into a dance hall. She will be truly missed by her loving family and all who she came into contact with.
She is survived by her beloved husband Wade Watson of the home in St. James, two dear daughters Jessica Cannon of Trenton, MO, and Linda Agent and Jackson Markley of St. James. One brother Terry Henson and his wife Kelly of Edgar Springs and one sister Brenda Black of St. James. Along with two very special grandchildren: Madison and Quinten Cannon. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins and other extended families.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother-in-law Jim Black and brother Ricky Lee Henson.
