Charles Wayne Weaks passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, January 16, 2022. He was 33 years of age.
Charlie was born to Robert and Lisa (Weaks) Hiob, on December 8, 1988, in Herman, Missouri.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Hiob, Grandmother, Marie Eyrnes, one daughter, Lydia Sayer of Kansas, two uncles, Robert and Dale Weaks, cousin, Sydney Weaks, and good friends Trevor Gillespie, Kolby and Renee Griffith, and church family at the First Baptist Church in St. James.
Charlie is preceded in death by his father, Robert Hiob.
He was a man that didn’t judge people, even though he was blind. Charlie had a pure opinion of people. He viewed his blindness in a positive light. He once said, “I can see better now than I ever have before.” He loved everything and everyone at the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed the choir and even memorized what he needed to sing. Charlie had great empathy for people and he loved singing, electric guitar, collecting vinyl records, and loved to go to the Caring Center. Charlie was teaching himself how to play the keyboard. Charlie once said after he accepted Christ, that he felt a calmness, and knew that everything was going to be ok.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in St. James, Missouri, with Stephen Brubaker and David Martin officiating.
