Carmal Lue Nappier of St. James, MO passed away on August 27, 2021. She was 81 years of age.
Carmal was born on August 2, 1940 in St. James, MO, the daughter of the late William and Bertha Bacon Kolb.
Carmal Lue Nappier is survived by her sons: Ron Nappier of St. James MO and Roger Nappier and wife, Angie of St. James, MO; daughter Rhonda Nappier of Las Vegas NV and sister Bonnie Hahn of St. James, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Justin Shelden Las Vegas NV, Kyler Nappier Columbia MO, Max and Drew Nappier St. James MO, Keith Ragan Jefferson City MO and Hanna Sherfy St. James MO and great-grandchildren: Jeremiah and Jarrod Shelden of California. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha; her brother, Donald Kolb; three sisters: Anna Mae Webster, Wanda Pankey and Lula Crider.
Carmal was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved cardinals whether it was the ones she watched out her window or the ones playing on television. She enjoyed feeding all kinds of animals- birds, dogs, cats, even possums. She worked at the Phelps County Hospital for 30 years in the dietary department. She was a wonderful cook and because of her excellent culinary skills, the hospital started having her cater meals for the doctors. The doctors loved her food, and she catered for them for several years. She won employee of the year.
Carmal Nappier will lie in state from 11 AM- 1 PM Thursday September 2, 2021 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Jamie Jones officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Shelden, Keith Ragan, Drew Nappier, Kyler Nappier, Bryan Hahn, and Max Nappier. Interment will be in the St. James Cemetery.
