Betty Ann Williams of St. James, Mo. passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Cedar Pointe in Rolla, Mo. Betty Williams was 91 years, 8 month and 9 days of age.
Betty Ann Williams was born February 8, 1928 in St. James to her parents: Charles N. and Alma Swyers Smallwood. She was united in marriage to Cecil Williams in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1960. Mr. Williams entered into rest April 23, 1991.
Betty Williams is survived by her sisters: Letty Licklider of St. James, one brother: Jim Smallwood of St. James along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Betty Williams is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister: Evelyn Welker.
Betty was raised on the family farm south of St. James and enjoyed the duties of the farm. She inherited her mothers ability to cook and was know for her light rolls and kept her mothers cherished recipe that was wrote on the inside of a box. After her marriage she and her husband owned and operated Mid-America Express a trucking company in Oklahoma. After retirement Betty and Cecil retired to the lake in Oklahoma. After her husbands passing she moved back to St. James to be near family and enjoyed cooking for family events and worshiped at the St. James Christian Church.
Betty Williams will lie in state at 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 19, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, with Brother Lynn Huggins officiating. Burial will be next to her husband at Rest Haven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
