Audrey Peters Obituary

Audrey Lucille Peters of Pacific, MO formerly of St. James, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Washington, MO following a sudden illness. She was 95 years of age.

 

She was born March 25, 1925 in Sedgewixkville, MO the daughter of the late Pearl A. and Ella C. Hanners Seabaugh.

 

On February 25, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Junior "Shorty" Peters.  He entered into rest in 1961.

 

Audrey Peters is survived by her children: Lloyd L. Peters and his wife Gloria of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Jimmie L. Peters of Pacific, MO along with one sister Nadine Bea Moreland of St. James, MO.  She has 4 Grandchildren: Melissa A. (Peters) Holman and Bradley Holman of Portland, TN; Larry D. Peters and Crissy L. Freeman (Peters) of Portland, TN; James E. Peters and Anne L. Buchanan (Peters) of Cleveland, TN; Gary A. Peters and Michelle (Mier) Peters of Pacific, MO. Along with 14 great-grandchildren: Ryan D. Holman and Samantha L. (Sloan) Holman; Alex M. Holman; Logan T. Holman; Nicholas W. Peters and Jessica M. (Tyree) Peters; Nathaniel A. Peters; Abigail J. Peters; Gary A. Peters Jr.; Sophia L. Peters; Lucas J. Peters; Katelyn A. Peters; Holden L. Peters and Ainsley A. Peters and 1 great-great-grandchild: Callaghan A. Holman.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sisters Lucy Vona (Seabaugh) Haacke and Doris (Seabaugh) Green and one great-grandchild Alex M. Holman.

 

Mrs. Peters was a caring person who loved her family with everything she had. Her biggest and greatest hobby was her family. She cared for them in every way she could. She made many quilts for her family that will be cherished memories for years to come. After her husband passed away after 15 years of their marriage, she went to work in a factory at the Western Wire Company in St. Louis where she retired. She raised two sons and two grandsons. In recent years she moved to Pacific, MO to be close to her son and family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

 

Due to Covid restrictions and family presently under quarantine, Mrs. Peters will have a Graveside Service 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the St. James Cemetery with Alecia Fisher, Minister of the St. James United Methodist Church, officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A public Memorial Service will be held after the Covid restrictions are lifted.

 

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
