William Lee Sewell of Rolla, Mo. passed away suddenly Monday February 2, 2009. He was 76 years 11 months and 25 days of age.

William Lee Sewell was born February 8, 1932 in St. James, Mo., the son of the late John and Mable Mitchell Sewell.

Bill as he was known by his family and friends was married March 9, 1956 to Helen Lois Woolard. Bill served 4 years in the Air Force in SAC. Bill was a member of Rolla Lions Club for 16 years. He retired from the Post Office after 29 1/2 years of service.

Bill is survived by his wife: Helen Sewell of Rolla, Mo. Sons: Mark William Sewell of Jefferson City, Mo; Douglas Lee Sewell and wife Karen of Claremore, Oklahoma. Daughters: Robin L. Benson and husband Mike of Florence, Texas and Jaye D. Dunham and husband Steve of Montrose, Colorado; and a sister-in-law: Linda Jackson of St. James, Missouri. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Services
Bill Sewell will lie in state Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 4-8 pm at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.

Memorials are suggest to the Rolla Lions Club and Tri-County Humane Society. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
