William Joseph "Joe" White of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on October 25, 2025 at the Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri. He was 69 years of age.
Joe, the son of the late Harry and Ginnie Hanger White, was born October 18, 1956. He was united in marriage to Sheila Ann Jaeger.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sheila White of Greenwood, Indiana; son, Derrick White of Springboro, Ohio; granddaughter, Luna White; Sister-In-Law, Tammy Jaeger; niece, Scott and Ginnie Bedwell of Salem, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Joe grew up with a love for the great outdoors. He loved being out in nature and fly-fishing streams and rivers for trout. He especially loved the Ozarks; he enjoyed fishing at Montauk State Park and Meramac Springs. The Ozarks beauty and its many streams and rivers brought him back many times over the past 25 years.
In addition to his love of fishing, he spent many hours building model cars.
He served in the Marine Corps as a special force sniper.
Visitation will be 12 Noon - 1:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Burial will be in the Douglas-Morrison Cemetery in Cook Station, Missouri.
Memorials may be given to the Phelps County Animal Rescue.
Arrangements are under the direction of Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
