Wanda Lourene Hawkins, 90, of Rolla, MO went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October the 15th, 2025.   She was born on January 1st, 1935 in Qulin, Missouri to the late George Homer and Daisy Bell (Stroud) Huggins.

Besides raising a family of five kids, Wanda worked for the Jefferson and Franklin County Community Action Program as a program services administrator for over 20 years.   She was a member of the St. James, Missouri 1st Assemblies of God, formerly a member of the DeSoto 1st Assemblies of God, and was a lifelong Christian having accepted Jesus Christ into her heart at the age of 10.  Wanda had a sharp sense of humor and was mischievous upon occasion as her family well knows.  Besides fussing about her cats, which she secretly loved, Wanda enjoyed making Christmas candy, handmade crafts and was an excellent cook.

Wanda was preceded in death by husbands Everett Mercer and James W. Vinson, Sr. the father of her children, sister Mina Lee Moore, brothers Eugene, Olen and infant Lehmon L. Huggins, and infant son Randall Lee Vinson

Wanda is survived by the cherished love of her life, husband of 27 years James L. Hawkins of Rolla, MO, her sisters Daisy Arlene (Leonard) Fisher of DeSoto, Missouri and Norma Eddlyn (Richard Deceased) Whitmer of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, daughter Sheryl (Melvin) Arnhart of Festus, Missouri, sons George (Mary) Vinson of Rolla, Missouri, James W. Vinson, Jr. (Estella) of Shelbina, Missouri, Paul (Sheila) Vinson of Bunn, North Carolina, Kerry (Tracy) Vinson of Herculaneum, Missouri, 20 grandchildren Amber Marie, Amber Nicole, Augusta, Bill, Charla, Cristy, Darlene, Dawn, Emma, Gary, Hedwig, Juliana, Julie, Kerry, Kyle, Nicholle, Rick, Robert, Thomas, Timothy, and 54 great and great-great grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8 PM Monday October 20, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home, 200 South Meramec, St. James, Missouri 65559, with funeral services at same location at 11 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, officiated by Reverend Mick Thrasher. Music will be provided by Greg Gabel and Danny Davis.   Graveside services will be conducted where Wanda will be laid to rest at Qulin Cemetery in Qulin Missouri at 2 PM on Wednesday October 22, 2025.

Memorial may be given to the First Assembly of God in St. James, Missouri.
