Veda Jane (Holman) Neidert of Belle, Missouri, formerly of the Edgar Springs/Licking area passed away peacefully at her home on May 27, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 75 years of age.

Veda was born to George Sr. and Anna (Brown) Holman on July 11, 1949. She had one brother, George (Junior) Holman, Jr. She graduated from John F. Hodge High School in Saint James, MO with the class of 1967. She went on to attend a business school in Jefferson City, Missouri and then worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue. She then managed several grocery stores and retired from Kroger in Rolla, Missouri.

Veda had several names: Mom, Mommy, Grandma, Maw Maw, Best Friend, but the one she treasured the most was Granny (but it did take some getting used to because she didn't want to admit she was old enough to be a  "Granny"). She was the best grandma and loved her grandkids fiercely but loved her great grandkids even more. She was sassy and stubborn in all the best ways. Veda fought breast cancer for 11 years with remarkable strength.

She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and longtime friend and companion Tim Earney, as well as her beloved fur baby Brandy.

Veda is survived by her brother George (Sandy) Holman, her four children: Jennifer (Matthew) Southard, Jeffrey (Lea) Neidert, Jeanette (Art) Padgett, Jeannine Branstetter, and one bonus daughter Tameka (Louie) Hey. 11 Grandchildren (she always wanted 12): Jacob Garner, Alyssa (Seth) Haygood, Joel Garner, Abigail (Tyler) Lambeth, Katlyn (Dylan Salter) Branstetter, Ty Branstetter, Caleb (Ashley) Pratt, DJ Pratt, Bryan Pratt, Tynlee Hey, and Rhyatt Hey. 11 Great Grandchildren (Once they came along, the rest of us were chopped liver): Tanner, Connor, Adalyn Jane, Easton, Harper, Cameron, Payton, Erika, Brody, Nathan, and Bella.

No memorial services will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
