Trumann James Deese entered into the arms of Jesus on December 26, 2024 at Salem Memorial Hospital in Salem, Missouri.

Trumann James Deese, the son of Payton Deese and Jessika Matthews, was born on December 28, 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Trumann was an active and happy little boy; he loved to be airplaned around by his Dad chasing the dogs. He loved to army crawl and get into things he didn't belong in. He especially loved to play peek a boo with his special blanky his mother gave him, playing patty cake and arguing with his socks once he took them off. His bath time was always an adventure.  He was a true light in this weary world we live in. He will be truly missed and will always be in our hearts.

He is survived by his parents, Payton and Jessika; paternal grandparents, Jennifer and Clayton Deese; maternal grandparents, Jeff and Dawn Matthews; his paternal great-grandmother, Linda Watson; brother, Memphis Smothers; and sisters, Aspen and Willow Smothers along with many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, James Watson; great-grandmother, Alice Deese; and great uncle, Jimmy Watson.

Visitation will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025 at Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 19, 2025 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
