Troy Edward Parker of Lebanon, Mo. passed away on Sunday morning, December 15, 2013 as a result of an auto and train accident. He was 18 years 11 months and 18 days of age.
Troy Parker was born in Rolla, MO on December 27, 1994 to his parents: Charles (Chip) Edward Jr. and Sandra Deanne Bowman Parker.
Troy Parker was a cashier at Wal-Mart in Lebanon, MO; he was attending Ozark Technical College, and he had finished his first semester. He loved to fish and hunt. He played baseball for four years, and he loved all kind of sports. He graduated from John F. Hodge High School last year. He was a Big Man with a Big Heart; he especially loved working with the young kids. Troy was a member of the St. James Christian Church in St. James. He was very active in the church's youth program.
Troy Parker is survived by his parents: Charles (Chip) Edward Jr. and Sandra Deanne Bowman Parker of Rolla; maternal grandparents: Dean and Hazel Bowman of Lebanon, MO; paternal grandparents: Bill and Grace Parker of Willard, MO; brother: Ryan Parker and wife Melanie of St. Louis, MO; two sisters: Amanda Parker of St. Louis, Mo. and Emily Parker of Springfield, MO; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins and a great host of friends.
Troy is preceded in death by his uncle, Gary Dale Parker, who entered into rest January 23, 1967.
Services
Visitation for Troy Parker will be from 3 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, MO.
Funeral services for Troy Parker will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the St. James Christian Church in St. James, MO. with Rick Wheeler and Tom Whitaker officiating. Pallbearers will be: Seth Wolken, Kyle Tennison, Kaleb Poynter, Nathan Poynter, Kyle Poynter and Patrick Wheeler. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Scott Kochis, Austin Kochis, Nathan Strait, Justin Ray, and Daniel Strait and Andy Eads. Graveside Services will be at 3:00 pm Thursday at the Dixon Cemetery at Dixon Mo.
Memorials are suggested to the St. James Christian Church Youth Fund.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Fuenral Home in St. James, Mo.
