IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tracy Lynn
Krauss
August 31, 1964 – February 3, 2024
Tracy Lynn Krauss of St. James, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was 59 years of age.
Tracy, the son of the late Fred George and Betty (Egbert) Krauss, Jr., was born August 31, 1964 in Rolla, Missouri.
He is survived by his three children: Sarah Downey (Luke) of Brooklyn, New York; Lyndsey Jade Fite (Ethan) of St. Charles, Missouri, and Jordan Krauss of St. Charles, Missouri; his brother, Randy Krauss of St. Louis, Missouri; and his two granddaughters, Sophie Fite and Emma Fite.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents: Fred George Krauss, Sr.; George and Thelma Prebianca; and Charles and Sarah Egbert.
Tracy had many friends; he always left a big impression on all those that he met. His smile that reached clear across his face and his eyes that beamed with laughter will never be forgotten. Definitely, he will be remembered for his fun personality, his sharp sense of humor, and his clowning antics, but, he will be remembered most of all as a loving father, doting grandfather, loyal brother, and kind friend.
His children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He loved spending time with them. He was always ready to help his family and friends when needed, even if it meant that he would put off doing something for himself.
He was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed watching the Blues, the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Bulls, and collegiate football. During his high school days, he was on the track team. He was a fast runner; no one in the summer softball league could outrun him.
He was a talented gardener; he was known to have planted over 1,200 impatiens in one season. He designed and built beautiful landscapes with water features in his yard each summer.
He loved his career; he worked for the United States Postal Service for over 26 years in St. James and Rolla. He will be missed greatly by co-workers and customers.
He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church. He liked to inspire others to spend time meditating on the goodness of God.
