Tarji Johnston of Rolla, Mo. passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Tarji Johnston was 57 years, 11 months and 26 days of age.

Tarji Johnston was born on May 5, 1954 in Big Springs, Texas to her parents: Truman and Carol Simpson (Goodson) Tate. She was united in marriage to Stanley C. Johnston on May 28, 1982 in Galesburg, Illinois.

Tarji Johnston was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Tarji will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Tarji Johnston is survived by her loving husband of the home: Stanley Johnston of Rolla, Mo.; two sons: Steven Simpson of Texas; Jacob Johnston of Rolla, Mo.; one daughter: Kelsey Johnston of Rolla, Mo.; one granddaughter: Alexia; father: Truman Tate of Phoenix, Arizona; one brother: Russell Tate of Austin, Texas; and one sister: Rhonda Durkop and husband George of Brownwood, Texas.

Tarji Johnston is preceded in death by her mother: Carol (Goodson) Simpson.

Services
Visitation for Tarji Johnston will be on Friday, May 4th from 9 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo.

Funeral Mass will be conducted on Friday, May 4th at 1:00 P.M. at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla, Missouri with Father Michael Murphy officiating. Pallbearers will be: Steve Simpson; Jacob Johnston; Nick Durkop; Benji Durkop; George Durkop; and John Dills.
