Stanley Joseph Zita of St. James passed away Sunday January 3, 2010 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Mo. He was 86 years of age.

Stanley Joseph Zita was born September 16, 1923 in Trenton, New Jersey.

Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday January 5, 2010 at the Missouri Veterans Home Chapel in St. James with Don Carson officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the Missouri Veterans Home Cemetery.

Stanley Joseph Zita was in state from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the Missouri Veterans Home Chapel on Tuesday January 5, 2010.

Stanley Joseph Zita is survived by his beloved wife Geraldine (Bartle) Zita of St. James; Step-children: Joanna Featherstone of Arizona and Babara Mitchell of Maryland. Along with a sister: Mary Stanislaus of New Jersey; Brother-In-Law: Harry Bartle of Kentucky; Sister-In-Laws including Norma Leonard of Rolla and Dorothy Rodgers of St. James, and Maxine Hukill of Olathe, Kansas; and several step-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to the Stanley Zita Memorial Tree Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
