Stanley D. Johnson of St. James passed away quietly at his home on July 11, 2014. He was 79 years of age.
Stanley D. Johnson was born April 20, 1935 in St. Louis the son of the late Hubert Johnson and Wilma Mae Pitts.
Stanley D. Johnson was united in marriage to Lola Jewell Cranfill in Reno, Nevada. She entered into rest January 4, 2011.
Stanley D. Johnson is survived by Lee Johnson of St. James; Ellis Johnson of St. James; Bill Johnson and wife Katie of St James; James Johnson and wife Connie of St James; Bob Johnson and wife Denea of Boston Massachusetts; daughter Cynthia Pauline LeClair and husband Ron of Rolla, lifelong friend Tony Banks of St Louis along with 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and extended family.
Stanley D. Johnson was a painter for many years and was a member of the Painters Union in St Louis. He served in the US Navy and won many medals and commendations. Stanley's life was centered around his family, his kids and grandkids. Stanley loved to fish and always had a story to tell about the big one that got away. He will be truly missed by his family and friends
Stanley D. Johnson is preceded in death by his parents; his dear wife Lola Jewell Johnson., two sons Louie and John Johnson; daughter: Wilma Lewis, one grandson: Rodney Lewis, sister Louise.
Services
Stanley D. Johnson will lie in state at 10:00 am Tuesday July 15, 2014 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 pm July 15th at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Lynn Huggins officiating. Burial with full military honors will be held at the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Cuba. Pallbears will be family and friends. Memorial are requested to the Jones Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James.
