Shirley was a nurturing presence, her home a sanctuary of laughter and warmth for all who knew her. Her steadfast love transcended distance and challenge, offering comfort in difficult times and joy in happier moments.
Her enduring partnership with her beloved spouse, Carl "Shorty" Arthur, built a home filled with warmth and mutual respect. Together, they exemplified deep and enduring love.
Shirley’s legacy continues through her children and family: Michael Shaw of Gerald, Missouri; Timothy Arthur (Emily) of Rolla, Missouri; and Mickey Arthur (Brittney Gillean) of Greenville, Indiana. Brother: Frankie Skaggs (Vickie) of Owensville, Missouri; Sisters: Charleen Skaggs of Owensville, Missouri, Mediodeo Inkie of Bland, Missouri, Brenda Curtis of Owensville, Missouri, and Roberta Standfield of Union, Missouri. Her influence shines in their laughter, courage, and care for one another.
She is preceded in death by her sisters: Lucille Valley, Judi, and Arlene. Shirley shared profound connections with them, and their memories are forever intertwined.
Shirley served her country in the United States Army Reserves for 23 years.
