Shirley Ann (Moreland) Willy passed away peacefully on September 12, 2022 at the age of 85. She was born the youngest of four children on January 14, 1937 to the late Arthur and Nancy (Pryor) Moreland. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leo Willy and two sisters: Hellin (Moreland) Monier, Betty Jean Moreland and spirit sister Mary Johnson. She will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her five children: Vickie (Greg) Quarberg of Las Vegas, NV; Monte (Teresa) Willy of Rolla, MO; Elizabeth Smith of St. James; Joan Wantland of St. Louis, MO and Martha Willy of Springfield, MO; sister: Isabelle (Moreland) Strong; seven grandchildren: Lauren, Matthew, Charlotte, Amanda, Ben, Abigail and David; two great grandchildren: Jacob and Julie; and one great, great grandchild, Michael.

Shirley was an avid quilt maker, many of which can be found all around the country. She enjoyed the great outdoors, whether planting flowers, collecting round creek rocks, or sitting on the porch watching the spider webs fly in October. She also loved to play Scrabble with anyone who wanted to challenge her.

There was a graveside service for the family on September 13, 2022, at the Barnwell Cemetery. Shirley is absent from body, present with the Lord and now knows the peace that passes all understanding.  She was greatly loved, and she will be deeply missed.
