Shirley Jeane Woeckener of St. James passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Phelps Health in Rolla, MO. She was 79 years of age.

She was born April 20, 1942, in Moline, IL, the daughter of the late Marvin and Clara (Rettig) Manary.

Shirley is survived by sons, Kevin Roy and wife Anna of St. James, MO; Scott Porter of Rock Island, IL; daughters, Terri Wottowa and husband David of Fennville, MI; Leslie Etheridge of Coats, NC; Shari (Bear) Hamilton of St. James, MO; a Half-sister, Marva Hoteling of Rock Island, IL; and 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Clara (Rettig) Manary; a son, Steve Porter that passed away on March 21, 2005; brothers, Don Manary, Harold Manary, Darold Manary, and Clifford Manary.

When Shirley was young, she would go to dances with her brother to the local Moose Lodge. Later, Shirley enjoyed singing karaoke to Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline's Songs. When they had Karaoke Night she would sing until it was time to go home. She loved most country songs and was known for her singing voice. She enjoyed going to the Casino, eating the delicious food, and playing with a few of the machines. She loved her sweet tea and spent many hours at her favorite restaurant enjoying her tea and visiting with friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Meramec Springs Park.
