Ronald Earl Reed of Vichy, Missouri passed away suddenly at his home on April 23, 2024. He was 75 years of age.

He was born August 16, 1948, in Waynesville, Missouri, the son of the late Arthur and Laura Wools Reed.

On January 4, 1991, he was united to Sandra Glenn by Brother Jim Epperson at the St. James Christian Church in St. James, Missouri. They enjoyed 33 years together.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra of the home. Sons: John Reed of Rolla, Mo., Ronnie Reed of Springfield, Mo., and Scott Reed and wife, Karen of Muncy, Pennsylvania. Sisters: Shirley Hart of Vichy, Missouri and Cheri Reasoner of St Charles, Missouri.  Brother-in-law, Bill Glenn of St. Louis, Mo. Grandchildren: Colby Reed; Ashley Reed Thomason, and husband, Joe; Katelynn and friend, Shelbie; and Carly Reed. Great-grandsons, River Thomason and Parker Bartz and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roy Reed; brother-in-law, Gene Hart; and sister-in-law, Jackie Glenn.

Ron was a born salesperson. He sold automobiles for Hutcheson Ford in St. James and Weidenger's Chevrolet in Vienna for many years. He finished up his career working for Patriot Homes. Ron and Sandra loved animals. They had a rescue donkey that Ron talked to and Ron thought he understood everything he said. They enjoyed their rescued 120-pound Great Pyrenees dog. Ron always felt safe at their farm because he knew his dog would protect him. They also had horses and cats that they enjoyed. Ron enjoyed fishing area lakes and rivers. He always talked about the big ones that got away. He will be sadly missed.

Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. May 4th, 2024 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James with Brother Gary Lane officiating. Burial of Ron's ashes will be in the family plot at Skaggs Chapel Cemetery near Belle, Missouri following the memorial services. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
