Rodney Leroy Light passed away on Monday, September 28, 2009 as a result of a motor cycle accident near Jerome, Missouri. He was 51 years, 2 months, and 12 days of age.

Rodney Light was born on July 16, 1958 to his parents: Ronald Leroy and Marcella June (Jackson) Light. Rodney was united in marriage to Kelly Clark at the Church of God in St. James, Missouri on July 16, 1981. To this union one daughter was born.

Rodney Light was a Veteran and served his country and attended Solid Rock Christian Church in St. James, Missouri.
Rodney Light is survived by his wife of the home: Kelly Light of St. James, Missouri; one daughter: Kara Light of St. James; father: Ronald Leroy Light and wife Bonnie of Hamburg, Iowa; step-mother: Darlene Light of Rolla, Missouri; brothers: Roger Eugene Light; Craig Alan Light; Steven Ray Light; William Riley Light; Nicholas Jordan Light; Jason Robert Jordan Light; Jordan Anthony Light; Benjamin Jordan Dalton Light; and Trevor Lane Jordan Light; sisters: Juli Ann James; Linda Kay Light; Debra Diane Light; Laura Elizabeth Light; Tamara Kaitlyn Light; Jazmine Nicole Selena Light; Sara Nicole Light; Monica Marie Evelyn Massman; Kayla Shannon Underwood; Rebekah MacKinzie Light; Erica Marie Church-Picker; Lisa Marie Light; and Summer Marie Light: nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends. Rodney will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rodney Light is preceded in death by his mother: Marcella June (Jackson) Light and one brother: Craig Light.

Services
A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Craig Rippy officiating. Song will be: Go Rest High On That Mountain, Stairway To Heaven, and Three Wooden Crosses.

Memorials may be given to the Lupus Foundation. Cards are available at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
