Robert Dale Hines of St. James, Mo. passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Robert was born the son of Jim Batson and Phyllis Loughridge on May 14,1955 in Chillicothe, MO.

Robert was a long time resident of Chillicothe, Mo. and entered the United States Navy at 17 years old, serving overseas in Vietnam. He was an over the road truck driver for several years of his life after leaving the service. Robert moved to the St. James area in 2003 to be closer to friends and family. Robert believed in living a simple life and he loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed the fishing, camping and hunting to be found in the St. James area. Robert will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robert Hines is survived by one son: Daniel Anderson and wife Erin of Springfield, Mo.; one daughter: Jamie Marr and husband Benjamin of Grain Valley, MO.; two brothers: John Hines and wife Christina of St. James, Mo.; Danny Batson and wife Carolyn of Chillicothe, Mo.; two sisters: Sonia Cole and husband Bill of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Jennifer Davidson and husband Bobby of St. Joseph, Mo. Along with an extended family including several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis Loughridge, father Jim Batson, brother Jim Hines, and brother David Hines.

Services
A memorial service for Robert Hines will be conducted on July 15, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at the V.F.W. Hall in St. James, Mo.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Mo. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Robert D Hines Memorial Fund directly to The Jones Funeral Home 200 South Meramec St. James, MO.
